If you find Samsung better than apple or sony please go ahead and buy it. To each his own and i respect that. For me Samsung still doesnt have the iconic status of Sony or Apple. I feel good when i see a Sony tv in my room, having a iphone seems right, Sonys vaio is more personal, playstation is playstation etc.

Sony's x reality pro engine is really very good better than samsung. There is still work to do regarding voice control and gesture control. If you just want to count the features then its different but i believe how it is done is more important. and samsung 8 series is not reasonably priced.

I don't think it's bad.. Their hx929 is better than Samsung's 8 series.. As per the reviews Samsung's new 8 series with voice control and gesture control is a gimmick as if now.. There is still Some work to do in that area.. It's like 3d until and unless u perfect it it's going to be useless.. They have 2 models with monolithic - hx929 and hx850.. They have updated their smart platform as per the reviews and it's pretty good.

I don't mind if they do that and still offer a good value and solid performance. Besides they manufacture most of the components in-house, like memory, processors, screens. Both Apple and Sony have been using their SSDs, LCDs, and memory chips in top-of-the-line products and that alone shows how flexible Samsung is when it comes to what matters most -- the hardware.

This lineup is horrid. No NX line? One model with Monolithic design that looks like a giant iPeed? No integrated camera, no voice control, no gesture control and Yahoo apps?! Yahoo?! Really?! (I have 55'' NX720 2011 model and Yahoo apps is a joke) HX929 line is the only one to have a 60''+ model and it's a 2011 model anyway?! As I said b4 - Sony will regret this BS lineup deeply. It's the end for their TV business and the end of Sony if you think about it. Sad. I lived to see them to bounce off and pick it up, clean up their act and become Sony again. They are failing miserably for now.

It seems OLED will be here first... might be too little to late again for Sony even if they roll out Crystal LCD offerings with lower prices. Even if OLED TVs from Samsung and LG would not be selling very well, which I'm sure of, considering the price-range -- Sony is still behind. Look at their "smart TVs" in 2012! It's pathetic! NO integrated camera, no voice control, Yahoo apps??!! Yahoo! really? Not even 60'' models! And the top of the line HX850 looks like a huge iPeed (and the only model with Monolithic design which is the only good thing that happened to Sony TVs in the last decade). And now look at Samsung 8000 series with upgradable hardware, voice and gesture control, real apps, integrated camera and very reasonable pricing. Sony will regret deeply the 2012 lineup. It's the end of their TV business.

ทีวีของ Sony ปล่อยออกมาแต่ละปีมากเกิน อย่างให้มีเอกภาพกว่านี้ รุ่นไม่จำเป็นต้องเยอะ แค่สเป็กเครื่องต้องครบครัน และควรจะใส่มันนวัตกรรมอะไรใหม่ๆ เจ๋งๆลงไปในทีวีด้วย(ขอตกตัวอย่างเช่น การสั่งงานด้วยเสียง) อยากเห็น Sony กลับมาทำให้โลกได้ตลึ่ง และต้องร้อง "wow!" อีกครั้ง เหมือนที่สไตล์ของ Sony เคยเป็นในยุคก่อน

และผมหวังว่าในอนาคต Sony น่าจะนำ Vita OS มาปรับแต่งให้มันฉลาด และสวยงาม เพื่อนำมาใช้บนทีวีทุกรุ่นด้วยครับ

รัก Sony มากๆ และจะค่อยสนับสนุนต่อไป

Samsung owns 41% of Android market-share and a considerable portion of WP (granted it's small by itself), ships most of Android tablets, and will be a dominant player when win8 is released, no doubt. Sony will buy all LCD panels from them anyway and Sony's 2012 TV lineup is an epic FAIL (now compare it to Smasung's 7000 and 8000 series...). Also, just wait for Galaxy S3 and realize how pathetic Sony's smartphones are in comparison. PS3 - yes, giving credit where credit is due. But who cares, Samsung is not a content company. Besides, samsung is making profit, and sony has been at loss for many years now.

The only area where Sony is still ahead is imaging processing, censors and optics. Their NEX/Alpha lines are excellent, yet overpriced.

For example, Nikon now shows their hybrid, NEX cameras like they are the first to it while Sony has been in that market for well over a year. Yet, the Nikon with Ashton Kutcher commercials get a lot of air time. Guess where a lot of consumer might turn too for their next DSLR like camera. It's sad.

As I've pointed out a few times, for Sony, the tragedy is that their product line is solid. They are just horrible at executing them and publicizing them. I mean outside of the tech world, who honestly knows about the Tablet S or the NEX-5N. With the TV line, Samsung blasts their commercials all the time, Sony rarely does and when they do, their commercials are horrible.

My Top 5 are: MGS HD, Monster Hunter, Call of Duty Vita, SFXTekken, Resistance Burning Skies.

I'm not sure of a non-Guerilla developed Killzone. As much as I love the franchise, SCE Cambridge isn't really my favorite dev. Here's hoping I get proven wrong and they create a spectacularly fresh and exciting Killzone spinoff.

I really dont understand the problem Sony is having. Sony's range compared to Samsung is very competitive. Bravia's are awesome, their new line of cameras are actually very very good (nex7 is my fav), their tablet s is one of the best android tablet, bluray players are excellent, new line of headfones seems very interesting, playstation is awesome, home theaters are very nice as well, love the vaios specially vaio s series but they need to improve their walkman line and car audio system line.. just saw the unboxing of xperia s.. its freaking awesome.. i dont see anything wrong with their products.

The only thing Samsung is capable of doing is copying Apple's designs. Never had any interest in their products and never will. I agree that a majority of Sony's problem has been a lack of execution on their products and not the quality of them.

There is no doubt Samsung is dominating right now but never say never.. Nobody thought Samsung will sell more TVs than Sony but it's happening.. Apple was as good as finished but look at them now.. So I don't think u should count Sony out.. It's going to be tough for Sony now because Sony logo on any electronic product is not enough now.. But I still believe Sony can become back.. Because innovation is in their DNA which I can't say the same about Samsung.. They took some bad business decisions no doubt.. I don't think any of their products are as bad as shown by their financial report.. Nothing is going their way thats for sure.. I hope they come back and regain their glory.. Competition is always good.. N Sony is Sony.

This might be true in some segments but I think there is still a lot of emerging tech like Tablets where the playing field on the Android side is even, on next generation TVs (not talking about Crystal LCD vs. OLED but on a different idea of what TV can be like) and even the smartphone industry that it's not too late.
